Hello Millbrook! April is finally here — and if you've been waiting to open your windows, clear out the garage, or just take a slow walk down by Beaver Creek, you are not alone. Spring in Millbrook is something worth savoring. This month's newsletter has everything happening around town, a quick tip for spring-cleaning your medicine cabinet, and a little piece of local history I think you'll enjoy. ✚ Did You Know? — A Piece of Millbrook History
Millbrook got its name from a small gristmill that sat along Beaver Creek — the very mill that ground this region's first wheat harvest back in 1842. Founded by a small group of settlers who had made the journey from the Willamette Valley, the mill became the heartbeat of the community before the town even had a name. The original millstone is still on display at the Millbrook Historical Society today, a reminder that this community was built on hard work and shared purpose.

✚ April Health Tip
Spring Clean Your Medicine Cabinet
✚
Check every expiration date. Expired medications lose potency — and in some cases can become harmful. A full sweep now takes 10 minutes and could matter later.
✚
Don't flush old medications. Flushing drugs contaminates our waterways. Bring them to us — we have a DEA-approved medication take-back bin right here at the counter.
✚
Restock for allergy season. Tree pollen counts climb fast in April in our region. Make sure your antihistamines and nasal sprays are current and on hand before symptoms start.
✚
Rethink where you store them. Heat and humidity degrade medications faster than most people realize. The bathroom cabinet — despite the tradition — is often the worst place to keep them.
We offer free medication reviews for patients managing multiple prescriptions. Just ask Tom or any of our staff — we are happy to help you simplify.
✚ Monthly Trivia
This Month's Question
